The Worship Backing Band Transition Player is an easy-to-use MultiTrack Player for Mac and PC (we have an iPad version but you need to purchase that in the App store). It incorporates touch screen support for devices with that functionality and can also be used with a footswitch.
We've built it to bring Mac and PC users the popular extended functionality of our iPad Player, but with the additional ability to import your own and third party MultiTracks.
It has lots of exciting new features that were not available in our old Player including:
Configure and save your song arrangement (verses, chorus, repeats and loops) in advance or on the fly
Plus all the features of our previous MultiTrack Player:
14 instrument stems INCLUDING vocals and background vocals
Plus you get EIGHT free MultiTracks bundled with the Player worth $136 (£104). Click Here for a list of the tracks and links to free chord charts as well.
The Player and the songs are yours to keep forever, not to rent, at a great value price.
We believe our Player to be the SIMPLEST and the BEST VALUE MultiTrack package around. You will save even more when purchasing songs in bulk.
The Player is great for learning band parts too. You can Solo any stem to easily hear the exact instrument part; loop the part over and over to practice and even slow complicated sections right down until you get the hang of it.
Our MultiTracks are designed for worship teams with missing musicians. They give the versatility of live worship even when you have few (or no) musicians. Choose your instrument mix, adjust volumes, loop and repeat song sections, change key and tempo to suit your congregation. MultiTracks are also great practice tools as you can solo any instrument and listen to the professional part before joining in yourself.
The Transition Player seamlessly integrates Worship Backing Band’s downloadable multitracks and the Mac and PC Players also have an import function for your own or third party MultiTracks. If you have the iPad Transition Player you can use the Mac/PC importer to import third party tracks into the iPad Player as well.
Do check out the videos in our Help section (and in this YouTube Playlist) showing how to use features like importing a song and using a foot pedal. We reckon it will; take you all of about 30 minutes to watch the videos and get started using the Player like a pro!

"All in all the "MultiTrack Player" update is great."
Independent review by Kim Gentes, founder of worshipmusic.com
"This is brilliant! A real game changer! Being able to loop sections and practise sections is actually easier than most Ableton set ups and dragging in the file is genius. Really great stuff."
Kristian Ponsford, Worship leader, consultant to Worship Central and Ableton specialist
"Gotta say – I simply love your product. I lead many seminars and conferences here in Western Canada, and have been promoting your software to a tonne of small/mid-sized churches who are DESPERATE for this kind of help. You're doing a great work serving the kingdom of God with what you've got here. Thank you for helping worship leaders and worship ministries!"
Phil Spoelstra, Associate & Worship/Creative Arts Pastor, Broadway Church, Vancouver
In our church we use the backing band software for times when we need more lively and engaging worship. We are a rural church and don't have many prospects for getting a band together yet however we do like to try and bring the modern songs into our worship. This can be very difficult on an organ so the backing band software is great for providing a controllable band experience. It could be asked why we don't just use cd's but the answer is simple: you cannot control the music on a CD to fit the dynamic of the worship and it is not always easy to sing along to CD music. The backing band player is perfect for both of these, for example we used Crown Him Majesty in one celebration but did not want a huge band type feel, therefore I reduced the instruments down to the acoustic guitar, keyboard and vocals which produced a lovely easy to sing to song. Our main use for the backing band is during our Cafe Church celebrations as we like to embrace the modern day however our congregation is always open to using the software during the more traditional celebrations as well.
All in all, this is great software and without it our worship would not be the same as it is today. One day we would like to have our own band and it is possible that worship backing band will help us to achieve this as it is unlikely we would have a complete set of instruments and band members to do this straight away. Therefore the software would supplement the starting of a band. Keep up the good work and keep the great songs coming. Thank you!
Aaron - St. Peter's Church, West Row, Suffolk
'We are blown away by your excellent program. Our worship team has never been better since we've implemented it into our system. "We are fans for life!" would be an understatement. Thank you, thank you, and thank you!'
Jen Flatt Osborn - Praise and Worship Team Leader, New Life Harvest Church, Bacliff, Texas
“To fellow worship leaders….This is an incredible tool. You need to check this out. If you have looked at the prices of multi-track stems before you will know this is CHEAP!”
Clifton Worley
"There are other companies that offer worship tracks, but nothing as good as your software that allows each instrument to be adjusted to fit the need of each band. Now we insert the instrumentation we need to accompany our worship leader as he plays the guitar and sings and it sounds as though we have a full band. We now have percussion and can sing more up tempo worship songs. The versatility is fantastic.
Thanks for your product it is a blessing to CrossLife Church!"
"I first want to let you know that your product is outstanding! We use it every Sunday for about 90% of the songs that we sing. If we didn’t have this we would be floundering with the empty sound of two keyboards, the singers and nothing else. Thanks a million!"
Rev. Chris Hall, Minister of Music, Seniors, and Spec Activities at Cedar Falls Baptist Church
"Just downloaded worship backing band software and the song "forever" and was blown away at how good the tracks sounded as well as how easy it was to install and use! One of the best pieces of software I've ever bought no doubt! Consider this coming from a producer, songwriter, guitarist, & sound engineer who has used Pro Tools and produced three albums over the last 6 years! Great software for learning and teaching. I'll find out how well it works in a live environment very soon! Job well done folks! God Bless"

We've covered off lots of detail about the Player in our help section. There is also a detailed User Guide integrated in the Player. We have also produced detailed videos in the help section which show very simply how to use the different features of the Player which includes how to import songs from other suppliers such as Loop Community.
You need the Transition MultiTracks for this Player. They come as zip files which the Player itself unzips. It is essential that you DO NOT UNZIP the file before dragging it into the Library. Some tracks will import if you do this but others will give you an error message.
The Transition Player uses a high quality audio format compressed so they still sound great but are much smaller in size than the full studio WAV versions which you also get as part of your purchase.
If you've previously purchased Worship Backing Band MultiTracks you'll get the Transition and iPad versions of the tracks free-of-charge. Log in here to download your Transition versions of all your MultiTracks.
*Please note. We have given away many free tracks for several years. This is possible due to the agreement of the relevant publishers. Whilst it is our intention to continue to provide this free track into the forseeable future, it does not form part of your contract with us.
Not sure what format you need? View our comprehensive guide HERE.
You can now make great savings with our new Credit Bundles.
When we sell you the MultiTrack Player and songs we are selling them to you as an individual or church generally for use on a single computer (but see “Exceptions” below). If you want to put the player and songs on an additional computer we ask that you buy an additional license for the Player and one additional license per song downloaded. You can click through to the links below to buy the licenses retrospectively:
The principle is that you pay 50% of the normal cost of the Player/each song for each additional user.
You can buy the multi-user licenses at any point. So if you buy the track in January and add it to a second computer in March, just buy the license in March.
Please note that the Transition iPad player is not available at a 50% discount. This is because it is sold via the App store where we don’t have control over offering a second user discount.
We are happy to make an exception whereby THE SAME person uses the computer in the church as they do their personal computer for practise at home. In this instance just one license is required.
Because of the way App store purchases (an iCloud IDs) work different users will need to purchase a new Worship Backing Band app if they are using a different iPad to yours.
We feel that it is fair that the biggest users of the software and tracks pay the largest share. When you buy from Microsoft, you pay a fee to them based on how many computers the software is used on. When you buy songs from iTunes, you are meant to buy one song per user.
Developing our Player, recording the tracks, hosting the files, running the website etc etc have all cost many tens of thousands of pounds/dollars of investment. We’re a small independent business not funded by a ministry or some deep pocketed backer. We really do need to recoup that investment in sales of both the Player and the tracks. And without making some money we simply won’t be able to continue to offer support, develop the player and record new tracks.
The other reason that we charge for multiple use is that we pay a fee to the Publishers of each song that is sold, each time it is downloaded. This is a way of ensuring that the original song writers are honoured for their work.
Each purchase comes with a number of download attempts. Use the first for the first computer then login to your account with the second computer and download there. If you run into problems please just contact us. Likewise with the song downloads. You’ll also find that with the songs once you have them downloaded into your first computer (in the Songs folder) you can save them to a memory/USB stick and transfer them to the same folder on your second computer. You can’t do this with the player though – with the player you must download directly from the website.
You are welcome to transfer your license to another computer when you upgrade (please ensure that the Player and tracks are deleted from the original one though). You can follow the procedure described above for downloading. If you need to contact us for a new download link (i.e. you have used all your download attempts up on your previous computer) we will charge you a small admin fee.
